Amityville Acupuncture and Wellness is excited to introduce a new Cosmetic Acupuncture department to our practice! At Amityville Acupuncture and Wellness, we have always been dedicated to your physical and emotional well being and now we are going to help you look younger as well! We will be offering services in microneedling, nanoneedling, cosmetic acupuncture and red light therapy with more to come! 


Microneedling
 
Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure for your skin. The acupuncturist uses very, fine, short needles to make tiny punctures in the top layer of your skin which stimulate your skin’s healing process, causing the skin to produce more collagen and elastin. These proteins keep your skin firm and smooth. Microneedling improves the texture and tone of your skin, reduces the appearances of scars and acne, brightens the complexion, and enhances product absorption. An apple stem-cell serum is included in the treatment which further increases the production of collagen and rejuvenates the face. Each treatment also includes a soothing aloe facemask application at the end each session. 

Nanoneedling

Nanoneedling uses microscopic, hair-like needles to penetrate the very top layer of the skin called the epidermis, by separating cells and allowing active ingredients to be delivered. Benefits of this treatment include reduced pigmentation, improved skin cell turnover, rejuvenation and an immediate improvement in skin's appearance with no recovery time. This treatment is ideal for areas of the face which cannot be reached with microneedling. A great treatment to be done in between microneedling appointments to increase your facial rejuvenation results! 
 
Cosmetic Acupuncture 
 
Cosmetic acupuncture uses tiny acupuncture needles to target specific wrinkles or areas of interest. The microtraumas created by the needles initiate collagen production in the targeted areas, which in turn fill in the wrinkle.  Regular acupuncture points are placed in specific areas of the face in conjunction with the cosmetic acupuncture needles to bolster their affect and to tonify the muscles in the face. 
 
Red Light Therapy

Our Red light therapy increases collagen production, increases skin healing, improves skin health and lowers inflammation. This modality is ideal to include with your microneedling sessions!
