What does it do, you ask??? ..Well...everything..... From vibrantly highlighting your skin, shining and renewing you hair, cleaning your teeth, to choosing a healthier cooking alternative, coconut oil has it all. Skin Weather you put coconut oil on your dry skin, or just use it as a beautifying oil, your skin benefits and thanks you! Coconut Oil delays the sign of aging by preventing wrinkles and drooping skin. It contains many antioxidants that help make this happen. This oil will also help reduce signs of dark skin spots and scarring of the skin. Coconut Oil is great with severe skin dryness such as eczema & psoriasis. Coconut Oil is also great to use a touch on the face for that extra glow once in a while (a couple times a week). Very little and you'll do the trick! Hair Need help with those dry, damaged & split ends?! Try using coconut oil as a conditioning treatment. One way to do this: rub the coconut oil until it is of liquid consistency and apply from scalp root to end of hair strands. Cover the whole lot of hair and heat the hair with a blow dryer for 10 minutes from a far. You can also wrap the hair in tin foil so it doesn't dry up as fast because you actually want it to stay moist. The heat helps the hair absorb the nutrients in the oil. Do this once a week and you will notice your hair is healthier and more shiny! Another more simple way is by applying a very tiny touch to help style your hair! Be careful though, too much tends to make your hair look greasy! You can do this as often as you'd like! Teeth Did you know that swishing around coconut oil in your mouth can actually help WHITEN them and ALSO rid bacteria that leads to cavities?! Yes, coconut oil is awesome. First, brush your teeth. Then take a tablespoon scoop of coconut oil and let it melt in your mouth (or you can put a chunk right on your tooth brush and start brushing). Swish the oil around for about 5 minutes. Don't swallow please! When done, spit it out and rinse twice with water. The oil helps tremendously with pulling bacteria off the teeth and gums. It gets through all the right spots and crevices! It can also help with bad breath!!! Coconut Oil also carries antibacterial and anti fungal properties which help this process. Cooking Do you use canola oil, vegetable oil, or cooking spray when cooking? Switch those out for a healthier alternative... coconut oil. It works just as well and will give you better health benefits. The saturated fats in coconut oil is easier for us to digest and when switched in for the other cooking oils, it is a great promoter for weight loss.
