Did you know that watching animals can actually lower stress-induced adrenaline and blood pressure?! Research in Japan found that simply observing animals affects our parasympathetic nervous system. It helps to waken this part of our nervous system and relieves stress AND lowers blood pressure!

We all have a "bonding hormone" called oxytocin that helps us retain a calm feeling. This may also relax activity within your heart and your blood pressure!
Idea? Take 30 minutes out of every day to give a back or foot massage to your loved one and hug them! Cuddle and watch a show! Get close!!!
This helps us make social connections and feel good about ourselves. Research from Carnegie Mellon University found that those who volunteer 4 or more hours a week were a whopping 40% less likely to develop high blood pressure.
